Privacy Policy

• No sign-up. You can use Poise without creating an account or giving us your name, email, or any identifier.
• No analytics. Poise contains no third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. We do not build a profile of you or track you across apps or websites.

When you practice, the app records audio, transcribes it, generates AI responses, and produces feedback and scores. All of this is processed on your device and stored locally on your device:

• Audio recordings of your practice sessions
• Transcripts of what you said
• Scores, metrics, and written coaching feedback
• Your settings, goals, streaks, and practice history

This information stays on your device and we have no access to it. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it (subject to any iCloud device backups you configure through Apple, which are controlled by your Apple settings, not by us).

We do not collect, store, or transmit your audio recordings, transcripts, practice content, coaching results, contacts, location, or any personal identifier.

Poise connects to the internet only for these purposes:

• Downloading AI models. The first time you use the AI features, the app downloads the on-device model files (speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and the language model) from the model hosting provider. This transfers model files to your device — it does not upload your audio, transcripts, or any personal data.
• Subscriptions. Purchases and subscription management are handled by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). We never see or store your payment details.

The app does not transmit your practice data over either of these connections.

Microphone. Required to record your practice sessions for on-device analysis. Audio is processed locally and is not uploaded. You can revoke this permission at any time in the iOS Settings app; doing so will disable recording-based features.

Poise offers an optional auto-renewable subscription (Poise Pro). Billing, renewals, and refunds are managed by Apple. We do not receive your payment information. Apple may share aggregate, non-identifying purchase information with us as described in Apple's documentation.

Poise is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not collect personal information from anyone, this is consistent with our overall approach.

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and revise the "Last Updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
